Kellan Spears is deeply passionate about auto racing, a love that runs in his family. His maternal grandfather participated in the SCCA series during his mother's youth, and with his father's enthusiasm for the sport, the family frequently attended racing events together. This environment fostered Kellan's commitment to racing, which he embraced wholeheartedly. He explains, "I chose this path in life because of the challenges and adrenaline that I experience. When you drive a kart or car at a high enough speed, it’s like you feel nothing else." Outside of racing, Kellan maintains a rigorous workout regimen and dedicates time each day to simulator training, showcasing his focus and determination to excel in the sport.

Kellan has nearly ten years of experience in go-kart racing, achieving success across various divisions and series. His journey began at the age of six, inspired by his father after attending a racing event. After dedicating the 2016 season to honing his skills, Kellan returned to competition in 2017, finishing fourth in his division. The following year marked a significant milestone as he secured his first victory and ended the season just one point shy of the overall championship in second place. In 2019, he excelled at Checkered Flag Kartway, winning the title in the Jr. 2 division and finishing as runner-up in the Jr. 1 division. By 2020, he achieved a commendable second place overall in both divisions for the season. In 2021 he reached the ultimate goal and claimed the championship in both Jr. 2 & Jr. 3.

 

Looking to take on the next level of Karting, road course, Kellan worked on his skills for 2023 and won the KA100 Senior Championship at Atlanta Motorsports Park. In 2024 he joined up with DCT Sodi U.S.A. Team. In 2024, Kellan participated in the Trackhouse Karting Challenge, achieving two podium finishes and competed in two national races. He began testing in the X30 division in February and competed in his inaugural race in March securing a third-place finish. Among the five races held at Atlanta Motorsports Park, he recorded one third-place finish, two second-place finishes, and ultimately claimed first place in the final championship race. He utilized the year to advance and develop and now is set to take on 2025.
